Experience
Dennis Paget has worked for a number of years in municipal finance as a Revenue Manager. While studying to be a metaphysical minister he discovered his passion in counselling. He spent 5 years internship as a volunteer counsellor at Langley Family Services while taking courses at Kwantlen University. Eventually the draw to open a counselling practice was simply too great to keep working in government and thus he left that employment and began his counselling practice in his home office in Langley before moving to Kamloops.
For the past 15 years, Dennis Paget has been working as a counsellor and teacher of the Dr. John Gottman method on relationships. He also has been working with the RCMP Victim Services division providing counselling for clients experiencing court related concerns.
Dennis Paget is trained in EMDR as well as eye movement integration therapy to assist those suffering from particular traumas.
In addition to relationship, marriage and pre-marriage counselling he also provides counselling expertise in the areas of anxiety, depression, panic disorder and social phobia. He has also counselled with clients working through concerns such as suicide ideation, grief and loss, peer relations, bullying, self-esteem, sexuality, parent/teen conflict, and behaviour problems.
Along with his education, training and experience Dennis believes that his personal life experiences make him a valued and humbled counsellor partnering with clients as they move to understand and change their emotional blocks in life.
Dennis Paget is married with 4 adult children.
